Our training events focus on providing families and professionals with the evidence-based information they need to offer the best support for children and young people with Down syndrome. Unique professional expertise
Our services are provided by staff at Down Syndrome
Education International, many of whom are widely-recognised leaders in scientific
research, education, cognition, speech and language and reading for young people
with Down syndrome.
International experience
Based in the UK and USA, DownsEd has supported families and professionals around
the world for many years. We currently supply goods and services to customers in
over 60 countries. DownsEd's charitable work is supported by donors in over
40 countries and reaches families and professionals in over 180 countries.
We have experience of working in low, middle and high income countries in all aspects
of the development of nonprofit and public services for young people with Down syndrome,
working closely with local support groups and associations and advising local, regional
and national governments.
Supporting ongoing research and services
Our publications, training and consultancy build on years of pioneering research.
Proceeds from our sales of products and services support Down Syndrome Education
International's ongoing research efforts and charitable information and support
services.
Specifically, 10% of product sales and services fees are directly donated to support
the Sue Buckley Research Fund and our
Global Education Programme.
